Rockstar Writing and Craft
Last week my kids did our last project for our hallway bulletin board and it was bitter sweet. For as excited as I am for summer break, I am really going to miss these 2nd graders of mine. They have wit, creativity, fun personalities, and they are so smart!
As an end of the year writing activity we made these fun rockstars to showcase what we enjoyed about our 2nd grade year! I think each one turned out so darling and every time someone walks down my hallway you hear a giggle! If you are looking for a fun project do this! It’s free, fun and FANTASTIC! Grab some fun colors of poster board, scrapbook paper, foam sheets, fabrics, etc. and start designing your rockstars!!
I have a Rock Star Themed classroom and these would be cute to have for open house and to hang on the high part of the wall for decoration all year long. I want to do these for the beginning of the year instead of the end of the year, but I can't decide what I want them to write on the glasses! Any suggestions???

I was thinking in terms of goal setting. Have a discussion about goals and ways to possibly reach them. Then maybe the students can write about how they plan to "Rock OUt" as a 2nd grader this year. Or maybe how they can "Rock!!" in 2nd grade this year.
I was thinking of doing this for Open House next week but dont have a topic geared to Rock Stars….Any ideas….
