Behavior Linky Party

·

Hello creative teachers!! Today I wanted to tell you about a great classroom management tool that I have been using a lot lately. It’s called Class Dojo. As many of you know I teach at an all tech campus. Every students K-8 has their own iPads. We do iTunes University for our content courses. So when I found Class Dojo I was so excited because it’s done on none other than an iPad or even an iPhone now! You go to the Class Dojo website and sign up for a free account. You then add your students individually by adding their first names. Then they are assigned a cute monster character. You then keep track of great behavior and reward them with points for their characters. You can also take away points. It then tracks their total points. You can create graphs to show behavior trends or even to show parents if you have a student on a behavior plan. It’s super easy to use! I love projecting it onto my classroom screen to show each kid how they are doing!

Recently they came out with an iPhone app so you can take your phone with you as you walk your kids to recess or lunch. You can reward kids with points on the go and even take some away for those not making good choices. I love to keep track for the whole week and then on Friday give them rewards for their points. Like I said it’s easy to do and the kids love it!

If you have any questions on this fun interactive app/website please contact me! I’d love to help!

Follow these steps as you create your account and class!
1. Log onto the website and create a free account.

2. Create a class choosing the grade level and name your class.
3. Begin adding your student’s names.
 4. That’s it! You’re all done now you can keep track of your great students!

Now that is one creative idea to use in your classroom. Do you want to see other great behavior management ideas? Visit the girls at What The Teacher Wants to see their linky party that they set up!!
