Plan To Be Organized
You DREAM of starting the year off organized and prepared for that very first day when your eager students walk in your classroom door for the first time! For most that is only a dream and can’t become a reality because of the amount of time and effort it can take to stay organized in our classrooms in addition to our own personal lives (yes we have our own lives – believe it or not!)
I’m sharing with you today some tips that I have learned from my years of trying new organizational tools to help organize my school life. Teachers have endless possibilities of options of binders, planners and digital tools that some become overwhelmed with the choices. Look no further because you will find out what worked for me as I have tried many different organizational tools in my classroom and I’m going to tell you what worked and what made my organized teacher self crazy!
Lesson planners are perfect for the busy teacher who is looking for a planner that is already printed, put together and has all the accessories to match. Lesson planners are available in many different styles to match any teacher personality! Grab a lesson planner that has pineapples on it if you love everything tropical, or customize a polka dot cover with your name and school on the front. Now you can even purchase covers that are changeable and available in different materials, prints and styles!
For many years Erin Condren teacher planners have been my best teacher friend. I’ve used these beautiful planners for the last 3 years and each year I’m like a kid on Christmas morning when I open my beautiful floral shipping box to find the perfect teacher planner inside! These planners have all the bells and whistles! Consider them the Rolls Royce of teacher planners! Inside the planner you will find bright colored pages complete with lesson planning pages, calendar spreads, teacher checklists and gradebooks, and other teacher forms.
There are many other comparable and amazing teacher planners out there in the market that you may fall in love with! C Jayne Teach’s beautiful Teacher Anchor Planner is put together nicely and will keep any teacher organized all year.
When I took my most recent job two years ago, I realized shortly into the first quarter that I was writing the same things each and every week because of the mandated curriculum we were using. Each week looked very similar. I quickly fell in love with planbook.com and started using the digital online planner that is available for a small subscription fee (only $12 a year) You can copy and paste from week to week. You can color code and make these digital plans easy for your administrator and your organized self to know exactly what is being taught when. If you are looking for a time saving organizational tool, digital planners are the perfect fit for you!
And finally the last type of teacher planning tool is a trendy teacher binder. Popular teacher binders are the perfect fit for the teacher who wants everything organized together in one place. Instead of having 500 different notebooks and binders, all you need is ONE teacher binder where you keep lesson plans, calendars, to-do lists, birthdays, communication logs, student documentation and much more! The great thing about a teacher binder is that they are completely editable and customizable. You print what you want, choose the wording for the pages and organize your binder just they way you want it. Did I mention with a binder you have space to add notes and agendas from meetings you attend as well? Told you its a place for EVERYTHING!
After many years of trying out different types of lesson planners and digital planning tools, I’ve decided that a teacher binder is the perfect fit for me. I love the beauty of a lesson planner and the ease of typing my plans digitally so I can copy and paste from week to week. With a teacher binder you can do all of these things! I created a teacher binder recently that fits my needs and hopefully many other busy and organized teachers out there too!
This EDITABLE Teacher Binder is printer friendly because its black and white – say what?! No more worrying about the amount of color printing you will use on some of the teacher binders out there. The only thing you will use color printing for are the covers but all the insert pages are black and white but still a beautiful and crisp design! The Teacher Binder also comes with matching inspirational calendars that are great to include in your binder or to hang on your bulletin boards around your desk. You will stay organized but look classy with this organization tool!
No matter your style for lesson planning, finding the right fit for you is key. If you are looking for a time saver approach then go with a digital planner. It might not be a beautiful design but it will save you hours in the end. Do you want a planner that is already printed, bound and ready to go? Then ordering an Erin Condren planner is the one for you! Or are you looking for the completely editable and customizable option using a teacher binder? Think about your style and then make your choice. Don’t wait till school starts to purchase your planner or binder! Start now so you are organized and ready for the first day of school with your eager students!

Hi! I'm so excited to use your Teacher binder but I'm wondering what size binder you bought to put it all in? I want to make sure I get the correct size to fit it all successfully so it's not too crowded! Thanks so much and excited to follow your blog this year. 馃檪
this Teacher builder is a fantastic idea, will be prepared for a school. Now not only students can use custom term paper writing service to get prepared for classes and get A's. I also will follow this idea
Teachers lead a hectic life that demands they be organized or otherwise they could simply lose it all. Having planners is a good idea for a modern teacher and even for PhD thesis writers this can be a great topic to write on. Having your time well planned enables you as a teacher to interact even better with your students and help them where need be. From personal experience, students do love teachers that spare a little more time for them after lessons if just to help them grasp a concept better. Every teacher should look into this if they want to help their students become better.
I think that Planbook is a great idea, and Teacher Builder is a great tool. When I used the Teacher Builder, I noticed how interesting and convenient it is to use. Thanks for this. Also check my health blog: http://www.hghtherapydoctor.us.
Woah! I'm really enjoying the template/theme of this essay company review site. It's simple, yet effective. A Blog! lot of times it's hard to get that "perfect balance" between user friendliness and visual appeal. I must say that you've done a very good job with this. Additionally, the blog loads super quick for me on Safari. Outstanding
