Creative and Organized in 2016
As we reflect on 2015 and plan for 2016, it’s time to be organized and creative for our students and buyers of our TPT store! I’ve learned many things this past year in regards to being a better teacher but also as a business entrepreneur. One thing that has saved me time this past year is being organized! Having a place to organize your thoughts and plans is essential as you be your better you this upcoming year.
Last year I came across these AMAZING calendars, planners, and notebooks at my favorite store, Target. These low price organizational tools will keep you planned the entire year and they are super cute too! I’ve picked up mine for 2016 and I know there are still plenty in stock at your local Target. The gold accents of these planners make it fun to accessorize with pens, paper clips, notepads and sticky notes! All of which are my favorite!
Before you crack open that new planner and start planning, make sure you take time to think about how you are going to start the new year. What do you want to accomplish? How will you organize your time, talent, and free time? I use my planner to organize all my blog posts, social media posts and TPT products. This planner is my business planner. I have separate planners for my school life and personal life (I use my iPhone for my personal calendar to schedule appointments and reminders).
Something I’m going to start this year is a goal journal. I found matching notebooks to go along with my planner. In this journal I’m going to be setting yearly, monthly and weekly goals. That way I can keep my business going and improving every single day in 2016.
I love the new year and looking forward to new goals and fresh starts. Take this time to reflect on what worked last year and what needs to be improved for the future. Be organized day 1 and remain that way for all 365 days of 2016! I promise the more organized you are, the more creative you will be.
Because I want you to be organized this year, I’m giving away one planner and notebook to thank you for following me on social media and my blog. Enter below with the Rafflecopter. Giveaway ends Sunday at 11:59 pm MST.

I am becoming a planner/notebook junkie. Every time I see a cute one, I have to buy it and my hubby wonders why 馃檪 Thank you!
I forgot to post a goal. I want to be more organized and focused but most of all: I need to be me and be happy with myself and try not to always make others happy.
Great post, and great blog! My goal is to get more organized too! I am ready to meet this year head on! Best of luck!

I seem to pick up planners where ever I go and little notebooks! Right now, I'm using my Lily Pulitzer planner. I was so excited to get it under the tree! Nothing like a new planner! My goal is to give my self some grace this year. I think we all need it and don't always give ourselves what we deserve.

As a first year teacher (or a half year teacher at this point 馃槈 ) I would love to not only become a more detailed organizer but I would also like to find a way to stay on top of the planning, teaching, meeting, repeat work week. Teaching is incredible but it is also busy!
Love your tips on getting organized. I especially love the idea of having a goal journal. You are going to rock in 2016.

I plan to grade papers on a daily basis and avoid stacking them on the corner of my desk and end up with a huge stack of papers.
